Recently, my mother bought a 2002 Chevy Impala from Maroone Chevrolet. It has 116,000 miles on it. A day after she bought the car, the "check engine light" came on. She took it in to the dealership and they were able to fix the problem. This past Thursday the light came on again, and now she has noticed a gasoline smell coming in from the vents of the air conditioning. Also, I have read on other sites about the "clunking" noise from the steering wheel. This car has that noise, and my mother has also noticed that the steering wheel does not lock like other steering wheels do from past cars that she has owned. Any suggestions what these problems might be and how to fix them?

Thanks.
