So I've got a Pioneer MXT-2969BT and I want to put it in my car. It came with speakers. I need very detailed tips on how to put it in. I know how to take the dash off and get the old radio out. But I've read that instructions and it's quite a bit confusing to me. So yeah detailed information please. I've got onstar and I'm pretty sure I've got an amp in my trunk that is factory. If you need anymore information let me know. Thanks!

Not sure what your looking for in words of Detailed info?

However here is what I can tell you, For your Headunit or any aftermarket updated system for the car in a Single Din size you will need a Dash kit. This takes the hole that is there now and makes it so your aftermarket will fit the hole. By doing this you will now have a Pocket or a Filler plate that will cover the extra space..

At the same time you will need a Wiring Kit. This kit is really easy to use because in most cases you take your Pioneer wiring harness and color for color put these 2 together. Then once all the wiring are together you just plug the one end into the stereo side one side into the car side.

Not sure if you have Steering wheel controls but it don't really matter. For a Wiring harness I would get PAC-GM11 that will keep your Onstar and the Steering wheel controls if you had it.

Hardest part of doing your install is if your going to use your speakers that came in the set. Doing the 6x9 in factory location you need to remove the rear deck pad to get to the speakers in the rear. Please understand you can't take out the Grills in the back to gain access itw ill just break your grills and even then you wouldn't be able to access the screw area to put in the new speakers... So the back deck will need to come out by taking out a couple screws for the seat latches and some panel retainers. Then up and moving towards the front will move the rear deck out of the clips at the rear window area.

For your front speakers.. Only if someone has not messed this up. You don't have to take the door panel off. Just use some gentle pressure to remove the speaker grille. It is held held in place by 3 or 4 molded clips. IF you say take the upper right of the speaker grille and move it slightly down word towards the center while pulling out and do that all the way around the grille it will come out.. If your speakers are the dual in the front just leave the Tweeter in place because to get it out there is a screw on the back side and then the door panel would need to come out to get to that access part... Also on the Speaker bracket there is some plastic pins to help keep the OEM speakers in line just clip them pins off that is by the screw holes to hold the speakers in place... Then the aftermarket speaker will fit on the bracket flush to get screwed in place....

NOt sure what else you need with INfo
