I have a 2000 chevy impala. We bought it used, and the ac did not work. I recently decided to try and fix it, so I shot some freon into it, and the clutch did not engage. Checked all the relays, fuses, and wires I could find, and they were good. The only way to get the clutch to engage is to jump it straight to the battery, then the clutch will engage, but it still isnt cold. Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like its still low...they sell kits w/ the gauges, might want to look into that, but if u r low, theres prob a leak

thats what I was thinking. I will get a guage, and see what is goin on with it
