on my 04, it bolts directly to the block........
you may be able to retro fit an 04 compressor to yours, but you would need to remove the bracket... I cant remember how they are set up on the 03priors, the lines may be different too, call Morad Parts Co, see what they say I know between the Wbody 3.8s theres about a dozen differnt ways the compressors go on :p

I think it's the bracket that's broken on his, not the compressor itself, that's how I read it....

In this pic you can see the compressor as a whole. the broken piece is whats attached to it by the two bolts.

and in this pic you can see the part where it broke off from. the shiny white spot is where a single bolt is but there are plenty more along the motor :/

you should prolly check your motor mounts or something, that's a whole lotta movement needed to break those I would think...

got my car back yesterday. the guy said that the reason the bracket snapped like that is because its missing a support piece or whatnot. ever since i drove the car from Ohio to Georgia last year i've been noticing that my belt has been whining. i just figured it was time for a new belt because my thread was peelin off and stuff. but my bracket must have been giving in. now that its fixed the belt whine stopped :/ lol. good to go.

happened again Saturday night. the snap was much harder this time. i was sittin at a red light then i felt this hard jerk like someone rear ended me. i was lookin around and saw no one....low and behold it snapped again. except this time one of the bolts snapped too.

so now im lookin torwards the motor mounts. 97000 miles and now im ready to get rid of it -_-

i think that my main problem for one is that i dont know what slow means. nor do i know what it means to turn properly. i drive this heavy car like its a MR2 or sumthin. lol.

but in all seriousness, im thinkin its a motor mount. when i tap the gas quickly i feel this hard 'thud' and likewise if i release the gas quickly. it feels like my engine isnt being held down properly.....
