I just wanted to share this with everyone. I decided to try S10 Xtreme front springs on my 84 caprice and it dropped the nose 2-3" vs the worn out original springs with spacer blocks in them.
The handling is highly improved with minimal roll even riding on 195/75r14's, and the ride is still comfortable but not so floaty . It feels much more planted.

I got the TRW springs from Rockauto on closeout for $55+ shipping
and they're made in USA, I highly recommend this as an upgrade.

I now have the Gabriel max control shocks in, I had to drive without for a few days because the shock nuts were seized up badly. It rides and handles great with this combo! It feels controlled and precise, still a comfortable ride but not floaty. If I find a heavier/shorter substitute for the back and some good shocks on the rear and this thing will feel like it's on rails.
