1/2 tank of gas, new battery, how would I know if it's fuel injector problems or the fuel pump. We put starting fluid on the fuel injectors and it started. We just aren't sure what's going on. Any suggestions?
Your car is probably a throttle body, correct? If so there is not a fuel rail or schrader valve. If you sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body and it tried to start then you've got spark, but probably no fuel. The electric fuel pump in the gas tank should make a "whirling" sound when you turn the key on, if this does not happen you probably have a bad pump, relay, or fuse. Did the car die while you were driving it a refuse to start afterward? That is usually an indication of a bad pump.
