Not easy to find but you realize a 94-94 cop car or Impala SS is a 30spline 8.5 with discs. The Impala axle is wider than the cop car axle, so the cop car axle might be better with slicks

well didnt get the transmission installed this weekend like i wanted. decided to put it on my brothers lift so we could figure how we were going to modify the trans cross member. Still had a productive weekend on the car. decided to finally move the coils to the engine block(or so i hoped) or anywhere off the valve covers. Car has a tendency to eat plug wires even with wires being wrapped and the headers being wrapped.

heres some pictures. ended up using a new set of 12" factory plug wires and cut all the spark plug ends off and put on 90" ends with socks. the coil brackets are from ict billet and i fabricated the frame mounts out of some spare steel laying around my work ill redo the drive side to match the passenger side later on. i will say the coil pack jumper harness i got was just a hare to long. probably need to get a 15" jumper instead of a 24" but it will work for now

this was before the wires were finshed as they arent wrapped nor do they have 90 degree ends on them

passenger side mount

passenger side sits just above the starter and i made sure that theres no way they could ever contact the starter or its wires. also to take the coils out just have to remove 2 bolts and the hole assembly comes off the frame rails. I personally think they came out way nicer than i imagined!!

There is a guy that makes tubular tranny crossmembers for the 94-96 cars that are a LOT easier to work with, not sure about compatibility or maybe you have the resources to fab something.

What headers did you use? I was looking at having band flanges added to truck manifolds since they are held in high regard up to about 1000rwhp, cast iron holds heat well.
I am sure there are a lot more options in the 6 years my car has sat.

yeah were just going to c notch the factory cross member and call it a day

and they are ebay turbo headers. if you run them you might have to do some fab depending on your setup. we had to cut down the right side about 2" so the flanges were even across the front of the engine.
