Hello from the UK. I own the Impala mentioned above. It was built for drag racing and although now on street the gearing on the rear end at 4:11 is great for 0-60 but rubbish for top end, plus with the price of fuel here in the UK I need something streetable but would still like something with a bit of kick. Car is running a TH400 with at 383 stroker motor. Anyone suggest the best ratio to go for please..Thanks Justin

anything around a 323 ratio or that would be perfect with the torch of your motor and on the highway you could go from 70 to 100 in a flash

i'd say 3:73's are a good compromise. better fuel econ. than 4.11's, and it sounds like you've got plenty of engine to turn them.
