1965 Chevrolet Impala
4 Door Hardtop
283 with 2-barrel Rochester carb
2 speed Powerglide Automatic Transmission
Power Steering
Manual brakes
The car has been repainted.
Odometer shows 40,665 miles. The speedometer and odometer work and as far as I know, that mileage is accurate.
I bought this car 15 years ago as a non-running stalled project. It is licensed, now runs well and drives nicely. I have a clear title for this car.
To get it running and driving, I have done the following:
Carburetor rebuilt. New float, fuel filter and choke heat riser coil installed.
New radiator core and cap (re-cored what I assume is the original brass radiator)
New P205/75R14 tires
New fuel pump
New water pump
New thermostat
Changed engine oil and filter
New air filter
Flaws that I am aware of:
There are areas of small rust-through holes in the driver’s foot-well and under the trunk floor mat. From the underside, the rest of the floor looks good.
There are some small areas of surface rust in door jambs.
There is some surface rust on the frame, but the drain holes are open and the frame looks good.
Small areas of bubbling paint on the driver’s door near the front fender and on the rear passenger-side wheel lip.
There are small dents in some trim – left front wheel lip, right rear wheel lip and right rear window.
There is a body dent above the right head light.
The rear bumper has a dent.
There is a crack in the windshield. All door windows operate, including the front wing windows.
There are some missing badges and trim.
Chrome wheels and hub caps have some surface rust.
Front and rear seats and backs need recovering. There is no apparent rodent damage or smell. The rear seat back top damage appears to be from sun exposure.
Front carpet needs to be replaced.
Warning lights work. Head and tali lights need some work (some work, some do not). Radio and clock do not work.
I bought a complete lock set and replaced the trunk and glove box locks. The new key-matching door and ignition locks are with the car but have not been replaced.
There is no spare tire, jack or lug wrench.
