I own a 2004 Impala 3.8L recently my alternator went out, so I changed it out.
Car still wasn't holding charge had battery checked and and ut was also no good.

Long story short 3 alternators and 2 batteries later Im still not getting it tol hold a charge

Any suggestions?

Are the alternators new or remanufactured? Or are they junky yard units? Has anyone done a parasitic draw test? How long does it take to lose its charge? Any aftermarket electrical accessories?

Likely something is shorting out or an ignition switch failure

Ill wager a parasitic drain. Especially 3 alternators and 2 batteries later.
I agree. Want to find it fast? Get one of those peanut bulbs you put in the marker lights, solder wires to the prongs, and put in series with the positive cable. Everything MUST be off in the car (Dome lights, etc). Light should be off, or damn near off. If glowing, pull fuses until it goes away, or disconnect alt as well. There is your drain.

The lamp is an indicator for current.

Another subject, keep blowing fuses? Do this again. The bulb is a current limit. Once you find the issue, bulb will dim out.

Works great in the home as well with a trouble light in series with a circuit breaker.
