My dad bought the car used in 2008 to replace his Ford Taurus with around 62k on the odometer. He drove the car until September 2013 when it dropped a cylinder and was making a lot of noise from the engine with around 150k on the odometer. He decided to replace the car since he thought it needed a new engine, transmission, and brake repair. In December 2015 we got notice from the storage unit he kept the car at, that they were eliminating outdoor parking, and needed the car gone. After deciding to sell my 2015 Sonic to get rid of payments he gave me the car with the condition I fix it. I found a bent pushrod, stripped rocker arm mount, bad intake gasket, and blown head gasket. I fixed the engine problem, and also rebuilt the front suspension including steering gear, and new struts, strut mounts, coil springs, and 4 new tires. I also replaced a bad fuel level sensor, and have a new instrument cluster to install once the miles are the same. I've driven almost 2k miles since the repairs.
