Your wheels take a lot more abuse through the daily course of driving than you'll ever be able to by cleaning them (short of taking some steel wool or something to them).

I personally use an industrial wheel cleaner (strong acid) which basically melts away brake dust, use the hose to "power wash" as much off as I can, then follow that up with a gentle scrubbing with some soapy water and an old tooth brush to knock loose anything that the acid itself couldn't. You can't buy the wheel cleaner I use in stores, but there are plenty of products out there that do the same thing.

Sweet! sounds like a plan! fortunately for me they just appear to be a little bit dusty but no doubt I'll be dealing with brake dust. Thanks! Also, nice Signature pic. I don't remember ever seeing those headlights before. They look sweet!

Thanks! I found these lights just a couple of days after they came out, and just HAD to have them. I've been very happy with them, even after a year and a half

Well shit... After a good while of absolutely nothing happening with my girl (As you can tell from the length of time since my last post) Something really shitty happened. Driving to work today, I fell asleep behind the wheel.

I woke up to a reasonably loud scrape after making contact with a centre line barricade, followed by my reflexively spoken phrase: "SHITTY!" Guess I already knew something was going to go wrong.

Things have been a bit rough lately. This kind of mistake would normally cause a lot of anger at my own stupidity. But the thing is I've been at such a low point recently I didn't even react (Other than saying Shitty...). I Wasn't scared, wasn't mad, I just drove. Once I did take a look a bit later I saw that I had dented up the front and rear fenders on the left side and scraped the paint in multiple locations. Could've been a lot more damage to be honest. I'll have to get some pics when I get it clean and can really investigate the damage. Mud and road dust is obscuring the damage just enough.

Needless to say, now I'm feeling sad about what I've done but still trying to think positively. Just another excuse to get 'er painted black I guess!

Sorry to hear this and shitty that it happened

However

You drifted left and rubbed a guard rail other than perhaps the LF fender of an oncoming vehicle.
That would have been super shitty

Kinda trying to make lemonade out of lemons

Chin up ol'chap. Press on press on.
