How do you say it?

I've heard Impala said two different ways. One, pretty much only said by me and a few other people say Im-pal-a. And the other way I've mostly heard it said is Im-paul-a. Which way do you say it? This is just out of curiosity.

Edit can a mod please add a poll with the two different pronunciations as options? My iPod won't let me.

I say Imp-alah. Kidding, but I pronounce it like Im-paula.

Never heard anyone say it like Im-pal(like PayPal)-a

Lullz, I'm going to pronounce PayPal like Pay-paul

I guess the first one should be Im-pa-la.
The other one should be Im-pal-a. Like what Ryan and Don say.

It looks like the difference between the pronunciation is where the L is placed. I place the emphasis on the LA the everybody else seems to place an emphasis on AL which bugs the hell out of me because everyone in my family says it LA.

Different parts of the country will have different dialects of the same word.
I go with Im-pa-la and some say it that way or Im-pal-a.

I pronounce it: Aim-pull-err. And sometimes: Arm-pail-err. Is that wrong?

Im(as in 'in')pa(as in 'ha')la(as in 'ha'). Impala. Impaula just sounds strange to me.

I say it like Im-pal-a.....

I have heard both.... and in a previous job I had as a limo driver I noticed that mainly people from the Southern USA pronounce it Im-pah-la....

Not that there is anything wrong about either....

You say tomahto, I say tomato....
