Hope You Chevy Guys Can Help Solve. Not for impala

My wife just bought a 2005 Chevy Equinox LS 3.4 AWD. It has 136240 ish miles. It is suppose to be AWD, However some one has taken out the drive shaft to the rear. The car runs, and drives fine, but the problem is that when you let off the accelerator the car dam near stops, as if I'm pressing the brake. I have just done a brake job on it and even replaced both front calipers ( yes bled the lines). There is no noises, no humming like the wheel bearing are shot, I did have some clanking noises but the right front sway link was broken and replaced struts.

Side note: the brake pedal is very stiff. Not sure if that normal for the equinox, assuming it isn't. Also her ABS light is on and also the traction control light is on as well, no check engine light. At idle it idles at about 800 rpm.

Thanks in advance to any thoughts....
