Joes74challenger start monitoring your rotor condition when you take the first drive of the day. if it looks a little rusty and the noise happens, then it's just the surface rust wearing off the first few times you hit the brakes. if it happens when the rotors aren't rusty, it would be something else.

sheila I would guess rotor surface rust or time for pads.

Slight grinding noise

I am wondering when I go to drive the car in the morning or after it sits I hear a slight grinding sound when I applied the brakes and then just after a few minutes the sound is gone and brakes normal
