I had a '71 Biscayne, 350, factory 3 on the tree, 11" clutch, manual steering, that had somewhere around 30K miles for a winter beater. bought it for $475.
Buddy had a donor automatic trans car with PS that he let me steal the pump and steering box, trans and steering column, and I also stole the whole interior to go from white to black.
I painted it Forest green metallic, and drove it for about 10 years.
EXCELLENT winter car.
I had a couple Camaros as summer rides. Still have a '78 coupe, purchased new, now with an '85 TPI motor and a 700R4 and 65K miles, nearly mint looking.
Biscayne got rearended, and it went to salvage, sans motor.
I had a 2010 LT Fleet car, and it had factory leather steering wheel, shift knob, and fog lights, which the retail LT's apparently did not have. It did not have any Onstar, so no Sirius /XM ability; I had to buy a stand alone receiver with an auto kit.
I kept the receiver, and the car went to the dealer for trade-in on the 2016 Limited LTZ.
It's funny, I never set out to be an Impala guy, and didn't look for the first 2, I just happened into them.
But I set my sights on getting the 2016, and it's been way more enjoyable than I ever imagined.

|Dave_N||Should we add 9th generation to the poll?|

You need to edit the 8th generation ran from 2006-2013 and 2014 as Impala Limited (fleet only but still an 8th generation).
I used to own a 7th gen. 2004 Impala base model that was blue in color.
Now I own a 8th gen. 2010 Impala LS that is Silver Ice Metallic color. Its a nice silver color that hides the dirt well so even when its little dirty its harder to tell. It hides scratches well so a scratch on this color looks better than the same scratch on either a black or blue color one.

|JerryPH||The poll would need to be revised a bit. 8th gens go to 2013 and 9th gens started at 2014.|

Proud owner of an 8th gen SS here!
And also, the vote above for 8th Gen should be 2006-2013, since they still have the same body shape until the 2014 model... Just sayin'...
