The "official" impala photo challenge thread.

It's a game that I joined that generated over 17,000 hits on another forum that I am a member of and here are the rules.

Rules:
Challenge photo must be taken AFTER the challenge is issued.
Once you complete a challenge, you must post a picture with a new, and original challenge, nothing too outlandish, or obscure.
While being creative, the new challenge must be generic. This is an international "event", so it needs to be accessible to everyone. Ex: Picture of car in front of monument. NOT picture of car in front of Washington monument.
Impalas most be used.
This is meant to be somewhat fast paced, so quality of photos isn't really important. However, they must be discernible.
Also, it doesn't matter if you have a super slammed, shaved, show car, or a daily beater, post up those pics. No one is/should be judging your car in this thread, just having fun with the challenges.
Normally the way this works is you must take the picture AFTER the challenge is issued and it must be of your vehicle. (Has to be your impala). I'm putting this in bold because this seemed to cause some issues in the other forum, people kept posting old photos of their cars which sort of defeats the purpose of the challenge.
So if the first person says "your car with a firetruck", you need to go out and take a picture with your car and a firetruck in the picture. Then you take a picture of your car with something else, and post that up as the example for the next challenge!
Again, the picture must be taken after the challenge is issued, not an old picture from last week or 5 years ago that happens to meet the criteria.
Nothing illegal and please try to keep it to stuff that anybody can find. Also can't be a specific thing, has to be a general thing. Anybody can find a fire truck, but not Chicago FD truck #45, just a fire truck.
Here are some examples of things that make good challenges:
Water towers
power generation
creepy old industrial building
pier (close enough)
Urban sprawl
fire tower
watering holes
ice cream maker
observation post/one room school house
mile markers
Giant gnomes
community pools
wildlife
Lodge
museums
lawn art
Exotic animals
River crossing
Bandstands
Cabooses
Graffiti
cool old diner sign
Ambulance
tool booth photo by attendant
heavy equipment
moose crossing sign
topiary
waterfalls

And please don't do what the last guy on the old forum did and post a picture of your car wrapped around a light pole. That took 6 months or more to find someone that did it. Someone finally got the challenge moving again but took a total loss on his car.

I'll start this off with my car with a Pontiac Vibe to give everyone an example of how this goes. The challenge was "Your car next to a Pontiac Vibe". Now it's your turn. Take a picture of your Impala with a Vibe then something else (like above suggestions) for someone else to challenge and make their own challenge. Should be fun!

No problem. If this takes off like the last thread on my old forum then you will still be able to play anytime within the next 2 years.

now what if the challenge issued to you is in no way possible, like to your geographical location. i can provide an example if i need to

this seems like you can get some pretty cool IOTM entries as well from this

Nothing that is impossible or hard to do such as "Bill Clinton in my front seat" or a picture of a particular light house. I would say at that point "a president in my front seat" and take a picture of a penny in my front seat or a light house in general. Etc. The point of this thread is not to see what can't be done but to see if fellow members can get pictures of the things that are posted for the next challenge.

For example: The last thread I posted on my old forum was "my car in a creek". I took a picture of my car in 3" of water in a creek in alabama. The next person has to take a picture of their car in a creek and then the next picture next to something they think is hard to do and so on.

The person that gets the next challenge has to first post a picture of there Impala next to a Vibe. Then they can post what ever else they want to post (as long as it's not impossible). For example: My Impala next to a firetruck. And so on.

Dammit! Now I've got to buff and wax my car so I can take pictures of it somewhere... This is a cool idea.
