Overheating and loss of electrical power

1962 Impala 409. Pertronix electronic ignition
The car has just stoped running like you shut the ingredients off. Also keeps running sometimes when you turn the key off ( not diesling) and won't restart when over 200 degree. I thought ingredients switch and replaced it and no improvement. The car start up fine when cold, when it gets over 200 degree it not only restart but it has no power. Won't crank, no lights, etc. When IG cooks down it will restart and all the lights etc will work again. I am stumped

Ok, sounds like a high resistance issue with heat causing higher resistance. I would try looking at the condition of the wires at the starter that actually power the rest of the car. You may also want to look at a possible ground issue. i.e. check all grounds for tightness and even remove and clean them.
