Wheel hub problems

Hey guys I’ve replaced my wheel hub 3 times and now my problem is back. I’m trying to figure out what the problem could be. Any advice

Can you describe the problem? Clicking noise? Grinding noise? Traction control or ABS light?

I keep getting the abs light, service stability so, brake assist and traction control. It will go off each time I replace the bearing but comes right back on.

There's a break in one of the wires to the front wheel speed sensors. They typically break near where the control arm is hinged. The flexing there will damage the wires causing them to be intermittent which can cause ABS issues _and_ traction control issues. In some cases, the wires will be broken inside the insulation.

With the wheel removed, disconnect the cable from the hub, unclip the tie-downs from the harness, and remove the wires from the loom. Go back 2-3 feet. Check the wires looking for a broken spot, or a flimsy spot where the wire is broken inside he insulation.

The typical repair is to get a pigtail at the parts store and splice it back in, with solder, upstream of the break.

If you don't solder, maybe get a friend who does and buy them a 12-pack of their favorite beverage

BTW, you're not the first person to replace wheel hubs chasing this.

HTH.

Upgrades

Hey guys I’m looking to add more hp to my 2013 impala fleet model. What would be the easiest and less cost efficient way to do it.

My suggestions below are based on a lot of reading, no personal experieince, so take it with a grain of salt.

The most consistent thing I have seen people report HP or just improved drivability is one of the tuners to customize the car's computer to the way you drive. They cost from $250 on up. Stock computer settings try to hit the middle squishy settings that are OK for everyone, but don't really make either the HP or the MPG fanatics happy.

The worst idea I have read is to go to K&N air intake filters. Yes it will improve airflow and thus HP, but they let in too much particulates into the engine and are not worth the hit to reliability.

Adding a singature only because I am tired of being shown my incomplete account setup.
