Newbie

Morning everyone,
Keith from Canada here. Been driving a L36 (2003 Impala LS) for a few years now and have decided to start modding. Came to the conclusion that the experience and valuable info here is what's needed for success.
Hope to learn a lot and meet new people sharing similar interests and goals!
Have a great long weekend all!!
Keth

Thanks all. Just installed a pioneer deck today, but other than that it's gonna be mainly engine/tranny and supporting mods

I've owned the car since new in 2003. I've read so many forums, topics and posts regarding mods and what's available. Top swap may be in the future, but who knows. I'm a very spontaneous guy, one day I will be saying top swap, the next day I'm dishing out out for a turbo kit. I dislike saying I'm going to do something cause usually it changes 5 times before I do. That's what makes modding so enjoyable, it's ever changing and the options are plenty!

For the first 5 years the impala was my daily, and only, car but then it got parked. I've had everything from turbo civics to a magnum wagon, Plymouth reliant, Pontiac sunfire, even had an old olds delta 88 (the road yacht) up to needing a grand caravan in 2012 to house my every growing family. I have an old 1979 dodge Demon that I'm currently restoring and I want to get an old late 70's trans am, but that's not till the demon is done. I love new things and new ways to modify those things. I decided to pull the old girl out of retirement and enjoy it once again. It's now my daily to and from work but that mod bug keeps biting me..... So.....

Little things here and there are rolling in. CAI and some new dogbones and suspension came in yesterday. Will be getting on that soon. My first 'big' purchase is going to be a full exhaust system. Pretty much have it all chalked out, except headers. Wow it's hard to find some decent headers for a 3.8 that I like. Might have to get on some custom work? I really don't know but I hope to cross that bridge soon, it's holding me back! Haha

Will snap some pics after I get my summer rims on and I feel it's worthy enough to share.

Enjoy your weekend folks!

A user here, Grimsin, used the Speed Daddy headers, and highly recommends them.

Alas, I have the LS, not the SS. I wish Speed Daddy made headers for the 3.8 NA (nothing I can find anyways)

It's really been narrowed down to just a very select few I can find (3 to be exact)
I guess that's a lot of header choices for a 13 year old car, maybe I'm just being too picky.

He too has an LS with the NA 3.8. Send him a PM, he might be able to point you in the right direction.
