Posting on older thread?

Hi folks! I'm relatively new here so I'm still figuring site out. I recently found an older post with info on a vvt solenoid replacement. I replied hoping to make the topic active again. Is this the correct way to go. I didn't want to open a new thread when an addendum is all that's needed. Tks folks

Hi there,

It kinda depends, if the thread is very old it's prob better to post a new thread as it'll prob have new info. If the thread isn't that old feel free to post. Both approaches aren't wrong.
