Electrical issues.

My car got flooded in flash storm. The water was roughly 18” high on it. We drained the car and dryed it the best we could. It started and ran fine that evening. It started and ran fine the next day. My wife took it to an appointment and on the way the speedometer, tachometer radio and power locks stopped working. She was able to get it home and now it won’t start. Power works on a few things still, but it doesn’t crank over. I’ve checked a lot a fuses. Tried the ground wire. It’s a 2006 Chevy impala. Any advice would be great.

Contact your insurance company to file a comprehensive claim for the water damage. They may “total” the vehicle due to the water damage.

Trying to find all the possible points of damage from water could turn into a real nightmare. Gotta agree with the above, get in touch with your insurance.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......
