Door Lock Problem on 2008 Impala

We just bought a used 2008 Impala...it's in good condition but the automatic remote door locks do not work.... You hear them trying to unlock...you hear the relay clicking but they do not unlock or lock... either by the remote or the buttons on the doors.... Could there be a problem with all 4 actuators??

I bought a new 2008 Impala LTZ. Under warranty, several of the door lock actuators were replaced when they stopped working. The LF door handle also pulled out of the door (not frozen). It was also replaced under warranty. After the base warranty expired, I also replaced both rear actuators.

During that model year, and also 2009, GM used a very poor quality actuator assembly for the doors and they often failed.

It is possible all are defective on yours, although they probably failed at different times.. They are very pricy from GM. The rear ones are harder to replace than the fronts. If you buy from GM, make sure you use your VIN to have the part looked up, as the LS and LT models used a different actuator than the LTZ model (different wiring harness connector.

There are YouTube videos available that show how to remove the door panel and the actuator. They are not hard to do if you have basic mechanical skills.
