Update. So, of course. It will not lock on them and they have no idea what the problem is or could be. They had to call Chevrolet tech line to advise them what should be done and hope that it will solve the problem. Chevrolet told them to replace the parking brake control module. Its on order and will be in on Tuesday. Then we go from there. As for the seat. They want me to come in and sit in it to duplicate the noise. It will not do it for them apparently. On the flip side. The spoiler was installed today. I am still a bit disturbed about them not really finding out why the parking brake gets stuck. That is a pretty serious problem imo. I hope Chevrolet was right advising them to replace the module.

Got the car back today. Question on the spoiler. Are the side edges suppose to stick up a bit? Or be completely flush and flat down? Like molded into part of the car look if you know what I mean? Like the left side seems to be okay and flush as its going to get especially with the sticky pads. But, the right side. Top right edge seems to be missing a piece and sticking up. I say sticking up but the look could be deceiving since some of the sticky pad seems to be missing compared to left side. There is just a tiny piece under it. Looks like the actual piece was ripped or torn off. The sticky pad....

On another note. I for got to mention before bringing it in again. Some ahole jack wagon put a big nice half circular scratch on it that I had spotted. Right near the Impala logo down a bit on right passenger rear side. They was able to buff it out the best they could. And it does look better. But it is sadly still there and noticeable. People have no respect for nice things and just eats on them with envy. Or generally just being the ahole that they are. For a "Chevy". This car has attracted more attention then what I could have ever thought or anticipated. I actually don't like it since it could and will attract the wrong kind.

Thought it was kinda funny. I pulled up at a gas station while on our last trip before having to take it in. The guy that came out from the inside thought it was a new Camero. Until he got to the side of it and said WOW that is an Impala?!?!? New redesign or what? He looked confused and shocked compared to the older style I suppose.

The brake recall was that software fix. The computer would think it was disengaged and not display anything if it was partially disengaged(stuck). They were supposed to pull the wheels and check some part. Nothing about a mechanical fix.

Yes FGW,the brake will set it self occasionally if you don't. Just don't set it when the car is off or turning off as this will drain your battery. Set it, wait to compete, then turn car off. I've set mine since day 1.

Was not happy with the spoiler install and got it addressed today. Left and right side edges not remotely flush and completely sticking up. Took it to the dealer and had their body shop guy take a look at it. Instantly he shook his head and was not happy with the install. Gaps and way to much tension he said. Tech had no business installing it or chose to do a sloppy job. I would say the latter more then any thing else. They tried to give me some BS initially saying that is how it suppose to look blah blah. I was not having it. Spoke to the GM and has another brand new one on order for a reinstall. Along with having their body shop to install it properly this time. Instead of a tech like before. They took pics and was going to ask Chevy to advise them on what to do. And if it suppose to look like that? Are you flippin kidding me?!?!?!? UGH! Seems like I always have to get the GM involved to fix and make things right.

I would hope and imagine that tech got a stern talking to. Thats $400 bucks or more its costing them to do it right. BTW. As we was talking. Some random tech was passing by. Dollar to donuts it was the same jerk that installed it. He turned around in a real smart arse way and said. "Even if it is done again. Its going to come out looking the same way any ways." Real hostile and nasty then walked away. This jerk was not even part of the conversation or any thing. So, I also let the GM know about that idiot.

I learned a while back to let the body shop staff take care of any body related repairs. I once had chrome belt molding replaced on my back, driver's side door (it was partially detached). The job took over an hour and when my car was returned to me the new belt molding was all rippled. I immediately drove across the street to the dealer's body shop, which ordered a new piece, and installed it the next day in 15-minutes.

We have a 2015 LTZ bought brand new, we just had to replace one of the headlights ($300 for the part). Has anyone experience this issue? Does anyone know the expectancy of the headlight, now I'm fearful if the other goes out there's another $300 on a car a year old.

What did you have to replace that cost $300? Just the bulb itself?? I would think that the headlight enclosure would be covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, wouldn't it (which is why I'm assuming is was just a bulb, which probably wouldn't be covered since it's a "maintenance" item).

Regardless, to have that type of issue with a brand new car is ridiculous and certainly not normal. How many miles on the car?

2015 = 2-3 years old. When purchasing a car always look at cost of ownership. Life expectancy is supposedly around 3,000 hours depending on driving conditions i would imagine. So i would say that it did go out prematurely.Average being 4-6 years.

Im not in this world to live up to your expectations and youre not in this world to live up to mine.
