Hello and looking forward to be in this group

Hello All,

I have just taken delivery of my 2015 Chevy Impala 2LT. IT is a Black/black car. This is my wife and my first NEW car, we are excited to drive it for the next 39 months. This car replaces my 2006 Grandprix GXP because of the weak transmissions. Any info on this new generations of impalas would be great.

One another note this is my first Chevy for every day driving my other car is a 1971 Chevy Caprice with a BBC .

Car have owned or currently own:
1987 Mustang LX 2.3L EX
1997 Ponitac Grand Prix GT 3.8 EX
1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 3.8 SC EX
2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP 5.3 LS4 EX
1971 Chevy Caprice 402 ci BBC
2008 GMC Envoy Denali 5.3L
2015 Chevy Impala 2LT 3.6L

Welcome! There is lots of info in the forums, anything in particular you are looking for? You could check over in the reviews forum, I wrote up a review on my 2015 LTZ (albeit only after owning it like 2 weeks). And I think someone else did a nice write up of the 2014.

9 months in, I still love the car. Over all it rides great, no major complaints. I do have a few minor ones though
  • Ventilated seats are weak, you barely feel any airflow (at least in my car, dealer says they are fine)
  • There is a terrible glare on the infotainment screen at certain times of the day that can wash it out completely and render it useless.
  • GM apparently applied planned obsolescence to the infotainment system, so don't expect any future updates (read the car play thread for lots of info on that)
  • Infotainment/nav system is a bit too slow/sluggish (my 4 year old iPhone reacts quicker to screen pressed and swipes)

2015 2LTZ Blue Velvet/Jet Black - Everything but 20" wheels, sunroof, and adapt. cruise

Welcome. We all understand the weak tranny issues too well - expecially with the LS4. I was nervous frequently in my 09SS.
