Has anyone replaced their wiper blades?
Did you replace the whole blade mechanism or is there a refill?

GM92212324.....?

Your part numbers are for refills aka inserts. Those things are just about dinosaurs nowadays. Most places only sell the entire blades (with inserts included), usually in the 10-20 dollar range it seems, whereas the inserts can be had for around 5, if you can find them.

Furthermore, many of today's blades have an almost inseparable insert.

And, with so many different blades out there, it seems that none of them have interchangeable refills which makes finding one that fits all the more difficult.

In short, when they start streaking, I usually just go to Walmart and buy new blades. I bet I haven't touched a refill 20+ years. That is, I can't recall the last time I saw any on display.

The OEM ones at the dealer when I bought them were about $9 which was actually very reasonable.

I haven't found a dealer for $9 each in my area.

Prices run from $13.44 each to $24.00 each.
No dealer has them in stock except the $24 dealer.
All parts people claim no parts delivery for a month due to GM strike.

I saw a place online $8.44 each but $21 delivery...LOL

I guess I should have said they are $9 each which is still a good deal I think.

The OEM numbers I gave before are now discontinued. Here are the new part numbers 84589112 left and 84589113 right. List price on the GM parts places online are around $13.50 each

Curious if anyone has an opinion on traditional hinged blades versus the no hinge flex blades or also called beam blades. Separate winter blades, yes/no?

The Bosch beam blades I have were highly rated as all season wipers, but I got to say I was happier with the OEM hinged blades that came on it when I bought it used.

I called the dealer today with the newer part numbers and was quoted $13.44 for each and they had them in stock. Maybe the older ones were cheaper or maybe they were $9 for my 2015 Sierra. Not sure but anyways $13.44 each still ain't bad, I think the oem wipers are pretty good.
