Missing LED strip

So the ambient lighting on the passenger side of the dash has been out since I got the car.. went to replace it and when I pulled the trim.. it wasn't even there. I have ambient lighting on both front doors and it lights up to the left and right of the steering wheel.. but nothing on dash. What is the part number so I can order this . And what does it even plug into?

Here are some places to look around, for maybe finding the part number(s) needed.

I'm not sure exactly where you are looking on the dash, but you should be able to pinpoint it in the pics.

If you can't ID the right part, the alternative is the parts counter at the dealer. They can help identify the correct pieces.

As for where to plug it in, if your car is supposed to have this, I would expect there to be a wiring harness with open connector nearby behind the dash.

It's a 2LT with about every option you can get without going up to an LTZ. Doors are lit, left side of steering wheel is lit. Just seems odd that the strip between passenger door and radio is missing. Would also be nice if this site let us upload some bigger images

See, LED strips to left and right, nothing on passenger dash. Any chance this is a factory mistake? I dont even see anything for an LED strip to plug into.

Weird. I'd visit the dealer for replacement part and have the service dept install it. As with all electronics they can fail after time. I believe the led strip is embedded in the 'chrome' strips.

Keep us posted.

I thought the same, but how would it be powered? Everything else is an actual strip of LEDs, there was literally nothing behind the trim
