Acceloration issue/transmission issue/MAF?

Hello, just needing help on a fee things lol. Im having an acceloration issue or shifting issue or transmission issue, MAF issue... Im not sure? Bought LTZ at around 47k mil, has 51k now. It did have a crack on the air duct tube, replaced it. When acceloraring (to get up and go) the car seems to bog down jerks a time or 2 and then starts taking off. No idea what this is? Ive drivin a new premier and that thing just took off it was new but mine only has 51K. Ive takin it to the dealer and he babied it along and says oh this shifts fine may a little stall but nothing to worry about. I explained my the problem but he wasnt trying to hear what i was explaining to him. Would cleaning the Impala MAF sensor help or do they have to be replaced since it is all enclosed it looks like? Any and all help is much appreciated, thank you

Not sure if the maf sensor on the 14 would be the same as the 12, but on the 12 it can be cleaned with maf sensor cleaner and the little tube/straw that comes on those cans.

As to whether that would help or solve the issue, I would doubt it. If the car is bucking, might be bad gas. That few miles should not require a tuneup, but you really have no idea what who had the car before you put in the tank, cheap station gas with possible water, or e85, etc. Would probably not hurt to check and clean the tb and run some techron through the tank with new clean fuel.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......

Are you getting a Check Engine Light ? Stop at your local auto parts store and see if they can read the PCM Codes, if codes are set, this will help point you in the right direction for a fix.

@12lt Thank you for your reply. I had thought they were the same type of sensor but the 14 is a rectangular sealed box. Im not sure if the sensor is inside the box or on the outside and able to be cleaned. Looks something like this one here, $80 bucks. Luckily i bought the car from a friend and he only used QT gas and i do my best to carry on tbe tradition but have used kwik shop gas a time or 2 when going out of town. But i guess anything can happen. I sure will try the techron. Ive used sea foam but heard not to do that with these new cars, my how things have changed lol. Thanks alot for your help it is much appreciated

@Bowtie396 Hello, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately no check engine lights at all. I had a little miss fire situation it shook and the light came on for a min but then it came off and nothing since then. I travel for work so it sits for a month or so at a time and that happened after a couple months of sitting. Having them check it is a good idea maybe something might come up its worth a try. I know these are new transmission design and all but i really domt think this is the situation i have. It almost feels like its slowing it self down then taking off. Kind of a dangerous thing at times. I will definately keep trying things to figure this out. Thanks alot for all the help

I know this sounds bush league but have you tried resetting the ECM and TCM by disconnecting the battery? Also if you unplugged the MAF while replacing the flex hose it may need to be reset also.
