: Yeah I'm mechanically inclined so when I've been checking out the cars i'm looking closley. My current and last car I did all the maintence / major repairs besides welding. True on the 1 owner cars with the mileage i'm looking for. I took your advice and created a bookmark to search and check for local cars
: Thank you so much for offering to look.
I checked out the 2015 model online. Your right the miles are good and I like the engine. I'm looking for something about that age or newer and 50k miles roughly. Something that I didn't like was that it said it had an accident on the history report. That and that the car is far away (I'm near Detroit) I want to pass on that one. I checked out the other facebook marketplace car but it says the listing has sold or been removed
Let me know if you see any others. I'm watching car.com and Chevy Certified listings.
True on walking away. I know my excitement will get me intro trouble so its good to hear that it took you some time to find what you wanted. Makes me hold out.
Sure, I would say I skip way more ads than cars I go look at, then I walk away from quite a few of those... It's serious money, serious decision, only you can decide in the end.
I also use Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and ebay motors - Again careful with the dealers (on all of those). If you're buying from a big name like Carmax or a local chevrolet dealer that's not so bad, also CarLotz or anyone like that, even then look closely and test drive and check fluids and do all that.
Doesn't have to be brand new, but look at tire wear (is it even?).
Does everything really work?
Let it run for a bit and see, is it dripping anything (oh you might be surprised lol).
I don't know... I just keep looking and keep saving, it seems like in the end I either compromise a bit or I find what I wanted, something in between those two is probably best we can do.
