Cant help you with a wiring diagram, but try etrailer.com, they may have a plug and play harness for it. I know they do for my 04.

Per 04Imp38's input, I went to the etrailer.com site. They show several options for wiring harnesses.
https://www.etrailer.com/t1-2018_Chevrolet_Impala.htm

This one appears to plug into existing connectors:
https://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-...leID=201816739

This one also appears to plug into existing connectors _and_ it uses its own power for the trailer lights so it doesn't load the existing tail light circuits. Sometimes the added loads can cause issues with the vehicle's lights such as rapid flashing.

I couldn't find any schematics for 2018 Impalas. The newest drawings I found were for 2015. But they should be the same. Also, any instructions from etrailer.com will specify the wires to connect to.

For now, here's what I found for 2015:

right turn/brake
- brown/green

left turn/brake
- yel/blu

right park
- gray/brown

left park
- violet/gray

gnd
- black

You will note there are two separate running (park) lights wires - one for left, one for right. With typical trailer wiring you would have to pick one of these to connect to the trailer for _both_ its running lights, which (again) may possibly add enough load to cause some issues.

If the car has incandescent bulbs, and the trailer does, too, you may see rapid flashing. OTOH, if the car has incandescent bulbs, and the trailer has LEDs, it probably won't cause any problems.

If you use a unit that supplies its own power (as linked above) then that should avoid any rapid flashing issues.

HTH.

If your socket set is all the same brand, you might be a city slicker.

I will check my wires. Along that line, how do you remove the trunk panel on the left side? I pulled out the buttons but I can barely get my hands in to feel for the bulb and cannot see all the wires. That panel is stiff!
