Rear bumper swap

Looking to swap the rear bumper on my 2015 2LT for the LTZ rear bumper. What all do I need to do this. Obviously the bumper cover and exhaust tips, as well as the lower ballast. Anything else?

I haven't removed the bumper cover on a new Impala. The closest I've come is my G6, which was on an earlier version of the epsilon platform.

As I recall, on that, the tail lights had to come out first. After that, a trim tool was needed. Besides some sheet metal screws, there were some plastic push-pin fasteners, two different types, IIRC.

Sometimes, these can break, so you might need some replacements. You might poke around the site gmpartsdirect.com . There are two different rear body drawings there , one for the LT, one for the LTZ, which might be helpful. And they also show the part numbers in case you need some fasteners. You don't have to get OEM parts, but having the correct part numbers can help. There are many of these fasteners which look alike, but can be ill-fitting if they aren't the correct part number.

Besides fasteners, the only other thing that comes to mind is having a trim tool of some sort for removing those plastic fasteners. These are pretty common nowadays - even Walmart has them.
