2018 LT impala slow acceleration - HELP!

Hello,

I have owned this beast for 8 months and everything was beyond fantastic till YESTERDAY!

I filled the gas tank and headed home as usual and parked the car on "(little) uneven surface for almost 1 hour!

When I started the car after that the performance was terrible, slow acceleration like the engine can't breathe, transmission shift is not smooth, the steering wheel become heavy like the old hydraulic system.

There is no warning or light on the dashboard! 2600 miles on odo.

Any insights, suggestion would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Thanks

Water in the gas, bad gas. Warranty would cover mechanical issues, but doubt they cover if it is in fact bad gas in the car. Either way, would take it to the dealer.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......

Bad gas wouldn't make the steering wheel heavy feeling.

Your warranty includes a no-cost, 5-year roadside assistance - towing to the nearest dealer. I would have the car towed.

If you received bad gas, the insurance company for the fuel station should cover the repairs. You vehicle comprehensive coverage may also cover damage from bad gas - but then your company would go after the fuel station.

I always charge my gasoline purchases, so I have a written receipt in case I receive bad gasoline. It has happened to me many years ago, and it caused signifant repairs (and cost) for the vehicle.

It does indeed sound like bad gas. I wouldn't drive it any further, I'd get it towed to the dealer.

+1

I always charge my card AND get a receipt and keep it in my car when I get gas. I discard it at my next fill up. It helps show that you did indeed purchase gas from that station should any issues appear.

I have read about gas stations denying it was their gas because the guy didn't have a receipt and somehow the gas station didn't have usable video footage of him getting gas there. So to be safe, I think always get a receipt or charge your card.

Bad gas or water in gas happens (unfortunately) more often than one would think.

It's not water believe me. I had that happen and the car will die. But take it to the dealer.
