Battery

Has anyone had to replace their battery yet? Our 14í went crazy yesterday when I tried to start it. Iím pretty sure every light went off and gave me the alert to service the stabilitrac and a loud clicking noise. The battery had great voltage but bad crank amps. On another note, the battery was 170 bucks! When did batteries get so expensive? I remember the expensive ones used to be 120.

Damn, what battery did you get, the AC Delco one? It looks like my 2015 Impala uses the 48PG AC Delco. Equivalent one with higher CCA and 3 year warranty at Sams is $116

Thatís crazy. The AGM Duracell at my sams was 159 with 3 year warranty. I went to to autozone and got the duralast gold with 3 year warranty and additional 2 year prorated for the same price.

Mine doesn't require AGM and I'm sure yours doesn't either.

was that after tax? Shows $115.88 for the standard Duracell battery here https://www.samsclub.com/sams/durace...lp_product_1_6

Is this the one you got? https://www.autozone.com/batteries-s...2_610163_25698

I looked at the sams club in OKC on S.W. 5th st and it shows they have the regular Duracell for the same $115.88 price and it says they are in stock.

Batteries are expensive, days of buying a quality name brand battery for $100 bill are long gone. Think we got just over 3 years on the factory battery on our 2012. Have had pretty decent results with walmart everstart maxx batteries, been using them for our vehicles and on one of our tractors for years, fair price and easy to find a walmart store to exchange or replace them when the time comes. They have a 5 year warranty, 3 year free replacement and then to 2 year pro rated.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......

My recent experiences parallel this. I don't want to drop 170 bucks, but a hundred minimum is a given nowadays.

In the past, the good thing about the Walmart batteries was that they used to replace them without prorating, so I had a few die within the 36 month window, and they were replaced at no cost. (Still, no one likes the rude surprise of a dead battery.)

Seems like the last one I got there had the 5 year warranty described above, but it was over 100 bucks.

Anyway, my paradigm of $40 for a cheapie and $80 for a DieHard shows just what a dinosaur I am

If your socket set is all the same brand, you might be a city slicker.

lol, yeah I hear you. Last die hard gold battery I bought from sears was for a 92 z71 probably 23 years ago, honestly don't remember exactly how much it was, but pretty sure it was under $100 and I thought then that was high. I would not touch a sears battery now.

And yes, the walmart batteries I have purchased recently have been around $100-115 with tax. I don't think I have had any ever fail inside the 5 year warranty period. Last I was aware the everstart maxx batteries did still carry a free 3 year replacement.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......

I thought you meant your car battery was not in the right position and you wanted to just drive the car to get it into position like your Nissan does...
