I just bought a fully loaded 2014 new body style impala and i want to put in some subs but I'm having trouble with the line output converter. I just need help getting started at the factory amp!

You will need an lc7i to do a good install.

://www.sonicelectronix.com this is what the audio shop by my place gave me. They said it will work fine. Also dumb question, but do you have a diagram for 11 centerpoint system? I'm not sure if splice all speakers?

JaelenK 09-09-2017 11:53 AM

It's access mloc 720

Bvaleri 09-09-2017 12:18 PM

Your link didn't work just look up audio control lc7i. If you don't install one Bluetooth won't work right. I do not have a diagram for the writing unfortunately. That part should work for you and maybe check YouTube for some install tips. I had someone professionally do mine because I redid everything audio wise and did a 5 channel amp and arc audio speakers throughout with a idq12 sub. Plenty of bass and extremely loud on the music.
If you got a few minutes look at my post on air ride and see if you can help me out thanks.

I found the one you bought. That will work if all your doing is adding a sub.

JaelenK 09-09-2017 01:00 PM

Yeah I just want to put in the sub. So do I only splice the rear subwoofer speaker one the factory amp? Sorry I just have everything I need for the install, but if I go to the shop I have to buy all new stuff, being 200 bucks...

JaelenK 09-09-2017 01:27 PM

Also I read your post on the airlift kit, unfortunately my knowledge is very limited, hence just trouble installing subs lol. The only air ride i know anything about is on my kenworth lol

Bvaleri 09-09-2017 02:00 PM

you aren't using a new amp or anything just splicing into the old one? Also, even if your not looking at buying an air ride you could help by filling out the thing on airlift performance website if you want.

Okay, I have two diamond d3 12s with two mtx amps mtx rt2200 and rt2400. Would i need two of these locs?? That's what I'm trying to install and not sure how to go about it. Also, I will fill one out here in about 30 minutes as soon as I'm home from this shop.

Bvaleri 09-09-2017 02:51 PM

I don't think two would work you would need one that has multiple outs like an lc7i. You will still have to wire like a traditional set up to the battery ground antenna etc the point of the lc7i is to use the factory head unit not the amp. There are no aftermarket head units for the impala or at least they were no around when I was looking. You aren't really using the factory amp at all except to power what was already there. Here is a link to the part, but don't buy it on that site if you get on. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC7...m&awug=9029734
I am unsure if you can use two of what you have, but it may work either way they are doing the same thing you don't really need anything with the factory amp.

Bvaleri 09-09-2017 02:57 PM

The point of both products is to give you extra rca hook ups for your added amps. Doesn't look like you could only use one amp for what you have.

JaelenK 09-09-2017 03:01 PM

Okay so then I will just run them off one amp. So what all do i have to do just to get the subs running with the one amp? Just cut the wires to the rear subs and replace it with the loc? Sorry I may need a step by step instruction, I'm not really understanding haha.

JaelenK 09-09-2017 03:06 PM

So I could only power one woofer and one amp on this?

Bvaleri 09-09-2017 03:28 PM

You need to wire one of your amps. The subs are irrelevant to the item we are talking about, they will wire to the amp as usual. You need to run your power from the battery to the trunk. I assume that's where your placing the amp. Find a place in the trunk to hook up your ground wire as well. After that run the antenna wire up to a fuse that is always on when the car is running like the rear power outlet or something. Then splice into the rear 6x9 wires with the mloc then connect your rca from the amp to that. I was a little off on what I thought you had. Here is a video that will show you a little better than I can explain over forum. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FN1NodXLR5w
