What do you guys use to get the black soot off the through-the-bumper exhaust outlets? It doesn't just wipe off and I'm a little leery of working on it too hard.
Thanks in advance!
I've always used steel wool and metal polish. Just dip the steel wool into the polish and massage it out. However given the exhaust tips are part of the bumper, i don't know if those tips are actually metal or just plastic with chrome. I've never been a fan of the "fake" exhaust tips built into bumpers like the LTZ has or any other car that does that.
I've used anything from blue magic metal polish to bug/tar remover to clean them. let the bug and tar remover sit for a few minutes wipe then follow with good metal polish.
