Why?????

Why are non-impala lovers calling the 9th generation impalas sexy all the time?? I don't like that one bit. Lots also say that the exterior looks like a "bland old duck!" Lots say that too. Many also like to say how much they hate your car, and how plain and ugly it is. Usually that's the corvette and viper drivers. Yet if you look out the window, you see those very same people looking over your car and smiling. THERE JEALOUS. I've pointed that out and they will then admit they like it.

I like cars that aren't ugly. I will say they have done weird things to the 2015 model. I like the 9th generation impalas a lot. I like 2012 ford escapes, 2012 chevy malibus, 2015 jeep patriots, and 2014 chevy cruzes. Not spaceships. Lol

So back, WHY are 9th gen impalas called sexy by non-impala lovers?

Edited by staff: OP means 8th gen, by our definition.

I'm confused.... If you like the 9th gen Impalas so much, why do you not like that people think that they are "sexy"?

Still trying to understand your post!

Ha ha, sorry. When I said that, that's when people were telling me their ugly and they don't like that look. I am more of the conservative type with all that, so I don't like that way of putting. I asked someone what they meant by that, they said how ugly it was. Dummies. Lol
As long as they mean it nice I don't care. But when they say how ugly it is, I am up and ready to defend the beautiful car.

What was done to 2015 model that wasn't done in 2014?

This rant is entirely confusing. I think he meant to say 8th gen instead of 9th Gen.

Ducks? Find some new friends.

Your post makes no sense at all. Are you sure you know what generation Impala's you are talking about ? I know there is some debate at what is what, but Wikipedia classifies the 2014-present as 10th generation, 2006-2013 as 9th generation, and 2000-2005 as 8th generation and so on.

Haha, just forget it lol.
And, those "friends" hate me lol. I just made a comment to one of those guys because they were laughing at my real friend's car. When he got out of work, he found all these stupid 19 year old guys laughing and pointing at his car. See, he used to drive a 1997 mustang, and he was the new best guy then. But he sold that and got a '13 impala ltz this year and is now tormented by these people. I feel so bad for this poor guy. No offense to those who like vipers, but I told one guy his is more of a duck than the impala is. Then, they told me if I stop calling their car a duck, they will stop calling the impala all sorts of names lol. I then agreed, and its been a week, and I haven't heared anything more yet.

My advice - stop worrying so much about what others think. Everyone has different tastes in cars and different types of cars serve different purposes. The Impala is a "general", all-purpose type of car that is good for all types of uses (winter/summer, families, city and highway cruising, daily-driver, etc). It's not a sports car and really can't/shouldn't be compared to a sports car.

Something like a Viper or a Corvette, on the other hand, is a true sports car - it's good at one thing - being fast - but it would suck for winter driving, people with families and being a "daily driver".

If you like your car, that is all that *really* matters. The nice thing about the 2012+ Impalas with the 3.6L engine is that while they are an "all purpose" type of car, they also have a decently powerful engine for when you want to have a little fun!

Some guys prefer blondes, some guys prefer brunettes, some guys prefer redheads, some guys prefer women that dye their hair any color you can imagine, and some guys prefer other guys.

Some people like luxury cars, some people like sports cars, some people like 4x4s/trucks and some like motorcycles, and some like to pretend they are saving the planet by driving a Prius.

Everyone likes something different. If not, we'd all be driving around in the same thing and how boring would that be?
