2006 LS power door lock/fob issues

Hello all, first post here and wanted to gather some opinions on what you all may think of the issue I am experiencing.
Quick run down:

It started with the inside switch not working to unlock the doors on drivers side (passenger side door inside switch still works). So I have it figured that it was an isolated driver side door issue. Moving on to the next issue, we had always been using the key fob to lock/unlock the doors, well that was the next to go. We figured it was just coming unsynced, we would do the manual sync with the "relearn remote" controls. Fast fwd and it is no longer staying synced, I am talking a few minutes to an hour at best to unlock the doors. So we figured we would go "old school" and use the key. Low and behold the key will not turn in the key hole. Fwd 2x and I am having to call locksmiths to unlock the door on a few occasions because the fob would deprogram and the key simply will not turn in the lock. Any of you have any opinion on what could be the issue? I am open to all opinions/suggestions.

PS: All the doors do still lock/unlock when putting the car in drive so I am still at a loss when it comes to figuring out what could be the issue.

Thanks for the reply. I have changed the key fob batteries, I forgot to mention that was on the first things we did. I even purchased a new fob thinking it was the buttons on the old one dying. Haven't replaced the drivers side button, I guess that could be the next step. There is no key hole on the passenger door for me to check the key on that side.

The receiver module is know to go bad on these, if you're out of warranty it is not a cheap or easy fix. I'm guessing your door has been replaced at some point, or possibly the ignition tumbler. My suggestion would be to get an alarm with remote lock/unlock, and have a key cut for the driver door. At the very least get the key.

Hi- 2006 LS430. Went to unlock drivers door with key fob and wouldn't unlock. opened door with key and found door wouldn't lock either using power switchon door handle. all other power locks work fine. fuse that controls power lock on drivers door is fine. all other functions controlled by that fuse are working fine. any thoughts would be appreciated. Then my good friend suggested about LAKEZURICH LOCKSMITH SERVICE.They are expert in their work and provide you a number if locksmithing services.

^ May check for a bad wire in the harness bundle coming from body to door. Constantly flexing when door opens/closes.
