2012 Impala 3.6 power loss

Try to keep this short...I don't post much, but have had quite a few Impalas. This is my first 3.6, I got it at 75K miles in March. It runs great, super fast and the car handles like it is new.

Have had to do typical stuff. Front tires, rear tires this summer, front and rear brakes, outer tie rods. So there is that, typical stuff that goes out.

At 93K I did a tune up to help my issue(DIDN'T WORK) ac delco spark plugs, belt, cleaned throttle body, flushed the power steering as it was dark as well, coolant flush, tranny flush. The car is at 95K now.

I did get some codes on the computer at about 90K they included: P0036, P0056, P0135, P0141, P0155, P0161. All heater o2 codes, I deleted them, and they did not return. The engine is really feeling like it is lacking power. I am also getting a pop sound when I accelerate sometimes. The engine runs okay if you really step on it.

I am assuming it is the Catalytic Converter but not 100% sure. My MPGS went down, and running seafoam/injector cleaner has not helped. The car seems to be hunting gears, and going up hills you can actually feel the lack of power hitting. It seems is there actually two converters, instead of a converter and a resonator like the older 00-11 models?

Would think if the cat was bad there would be a code thrown. With no codes and lacking power post tuneup, would not know where to start other than to try to capture live data while driving the car to see if anything shows up to give an indication what is going on.

Transmissions on these cars are supposed to be drained and fluid changed, pretty sure it was suggested to not flush them.

My 6 year constantly asks why. What adults can learn from 5 and 6 year olds, to listen with your ears and mind open. Hard to learn when you don't listen ......

Dose it rattle on start-up? If so possible stretched timing chain.

Okay sorry I was thinking too quick last night. I totally forgot to mention that the air intake had some oil in it. I cleaned the MAF sensor when I noticed that. Seems to use around 1qt of oil around 4-5000miles. I ordered a catch can and it will be installed this coming week.

The transmission was “flushed” to say. I drained and refilled it multiple times until it came out actually red and not black. All done at oil changes and not the same time back to back.

In regards to timing chain, the car is loud at first start up, muffles down and it seems like the bottom cat converter is making something similar to a rattle.

I am just trying to fix the car. At a loss, luckily I do the work myself or this would be a hefty bill. The car was a rental car for 15k miles, owner before me bought car and drove it to 73k, traded in and I got it at 75k.
