2014 to 2006 Hood, Fender, Grille Swap

This is an Idea
for those who want to
Make their Impala
Look like New.

Swap the
Hood, Fenders, Grille & Bumper
from a 2014 & Newer Impala
to a 2006 to 2012 Impala.

The Front end sheet metal
sure Looks Sharp
much like a 2010 & Newer Camaro.

If you work in
a Junkyard or Body Shop
or have access to both body style
perhaps You can be the First
to Do this Swap
and let us know
what Needs to be done
to Make Impalas
Look Sharp.

.

This could be a good Business
for someone,
since this generation of Impalas
are basically the Same
from 2006 to 2017.

12 years
is a big Market for Aftermarket
either making used parts fit
or
finding or financing
a company to make the Sheet metal
so Parts Bolt on.

I see this not going anywhere lol, the 2014 impala vs the '06 to '13 may as well be a totally different car.

I still think the original poster should give it a try. It might also be fun to swap a new body style backend, interior, frame, and side doors onto an old body style eighth generation.
Fred9505 and Ranold like this.

2009 Impala SS (sold 3/2012)
2014 Impala Limited LTZ 3.6 V6(traded 7/2019

2017 Cadillac XTS Platinum V Sport 3.6TT AWD
2017 Buick Envision Premium AWD 2.0 Turbo
2010 Lincoln MKS AWD V6 Twin Turbo, Livernois Motor Sports tuned, 0-60 in 3.94 seconds , 1/4 mile 12.80 @ 104 MPH

The 2006 to 2017 8th gen body is basically the same car with a few exceptions, most notably the 3.6L engine in 2012 and 6-speed transmission. In 2014 the 9th gen Impalas started production, but Chevy still makes the 8th gens 'Limited.'

2006 Impala LTZ/SS 3.9 L V6
Magnaflow Catback Exhaust
5 Piece Billet Aluminum Grille, Chrome Side Pillars
General Tire Altimax RT43 Tires
K&N High Flow Air Filter with modified airbox
Monroe Quick Struts, 35% Window Tints
GM Strut Tower Brace Bars and Don Rome Brackets
Leather Steering Wheel Cover, Mud Flaps
Chrome Licence Plate Protectors, SS Badges
Motomaster Eliminator Battery (925 CCA)
Wagner Rotors and Monroe ceramic pads
5" Android Smart Mirror
Overkill Engine Tune!

From this article it looks like the Impala Limited's final production year was 2016.

Swap the

2014 & newer implies the current gen and is how I read the post.

Garage
The biggest problem will be that the cars are on two entirely different platforms. The 06-16 Limited is W-Body and the 14+ is Epsilon II. Notably the fuel doors are on opposite sides, so the back cannot be swapped easily. The front would depend on overall dimensions.

exactly as I read it. can't blame op for being curious but it'd be easier to just get a 14+ model and call it a day.
