Hey Guys, so I broke out a thumb drive I have that has the 2006 Impala Shop Manual on it, and here are the brake tightening specs it shows. I have attached a screenshot of the specs. The shop manual shows:
Front Caliper Bolts: 26 lb foot
Front Caliper Bracket Bolts: 133 lb foot
Rear Caliper Bolts: 32 lb foot
Rear Caliper Bracket Bolts: 88 lb foot
I am posting this because (A) someone might want these specs, and (B) these specs seem vastly different than the 2008 specs, which I have heard are 13 lb foot for the front caliper bolts and 75 lb foot for the front caliper bracket bolts.
Is it possible that the 2006 specs are basically 2x as tight for both the front caliper bolts (13mm) and the front caliper bracket bolts (18mm - well, at least on my Impala Police, they are 18MM - I think they are 15MM on the standard Impalas) ??
