Hey everyone,

I have a 2001 and I am having cooling trouble. The car is running hot. So I started with flushing the radiator. Got that done and still running hot. Then I saw that the fans were not coming on. So I press on the connection right at the fan motor on the pass. side and it will come on, but as soon as I let go it will goes off. I messed with the plug and the port, but still same thing. The driver side one never came on. Anyone ever deal with this??? Thanks for the help.

It is not uncommon for only one fan to start on these cars. And the other fan as the engine or radiator temp increases. Most of these are on two different circuits.

You can remove the plug and go with what is called butt splices. These are connectors that you put the wires in and crimp. Make sure each wire line up to the proper one for the fan and harness connection.
Drivers fan make sure that the harness has power and try to power the fan directly.

Quick trick is to start the car and just turn on the AC and see if both fans start up. If not then you do have a problem with connections on the right fan and you will have to trace out the problem with the left fan.

Since you can make the right fan start but not the left it appears that the temp sensor and relays are working for that side.
