Turn Signal Issues

Good morning folks,

I'm trying to troubleshoot my 2005 impala's turn signal. The signal indicators on the dash shows solid green. When i activate the left or right turn, nothing shows in the front but flashes fast in the rear (Lt & Rt). My hazards work fine in the rear. Now, i just installed new bulbs in the front and i still have the solid green indicators on the dash. So when i now activate a Lft or Rt turn, the front and rear flashes fast...but the flashing in the front is very low. I'm thinking its a wiring issue. Can't be the fuse b/c the signals show something. It can't be the hazard switch b/c my hazards work fine. Could it be the relay switch? Could it be the front sockets b/c the new bulbs are flashing low?...and if i installed new front bulbs, why does it continue to flash fast in both the front and rear?....please help, thank you.

The relay switch is the hazard switch. It controls the timed blinking of the turn signals and is known to go bad on the Impalas.
Not sure if this is your problem but it could be.

Do the DRL and parking lights work normally? If they do it does sound like its the hazard switch. The hazard switch is the hazard and turn signal relay/flasher. and it feeds the front and rear lights individually. Play around with switch with your turn signals on, see if you can get their behavior to change. This is a fairly common fault as 04Imp38 stated
