1967 Bel Air Wheel Width?

So I have the stock tires and wheels on my 67, and I am wanting to go to a wider size. I was wondering how wide you can go without having any clearance issues. Thanks for the help!

It all depends on the off set really.

I always liked deep dish wheels and would go no larger than 6 Inches Wide, but I have heard of others going wider.

Be careful on the Fronts. Some wide wheels may hit the tie-rod.

Ya hitting that tie rod is one of the concerns I had. I am not a fan of using spacers really, so I wanted to keep it as wide as I could without needing any. Not to mention clearing the lip in the rear.

I once had a '67 Impala 2-Dr HT and had 14 X 6 Deep Dish Chrome Reverse Wheels on it. It widen the stance nice and looked great. If I had another, I would still stay with the 14 X 6 size. Maybe 15's if you like larger wheels.
