So I got this tiny surface rust spot right in the middle of the shiny trunk trim thing, I have in the past rubbed it off w/ clay but how would I remove the piece and go about fixing it for good?

00 steel wool with light pressure is good for surface rust, use some wax afterwards to keep it from rusting again.

Ok so its time for an oil change in my '04 3.4L and I was wondering if I should use a synthetic oil, and I've heard that if you start using synthetics you cant use anything else, is that true?

And also, me and my dad were talking about my 70 year old neighbor's '08 Cadillac, he said "Oh that car is no good anymore its all CARBONIZED" by that he meant he rarely goes over 60mph and when he does it takes him like 5 miles to get there, so by not "using the engine" once in a while all the "junk" gets trapped everywhere therefore making the car unworthy of doing, for example, a 6 hour trip at 80mph. Is that even true?

1. No, you can use synthetic, then dino from oil change to oil change. Won't hurt the car, but if not using synth consistently, probably wasting $$ on it when you do use it.

You aren't supposed to use synthetic after running Dino oil for a long time because the synthetic will strip the deposits left by the old oil from the seals and you will get leaks. There are no known problems switching the other way however.

Yes you can build up carbon deposits from driving like an old man, but it doesn't mean the car is useless. Driving 6 hours at 80mph would actually probably clear it all out and be good as new again.

I agree with kingnutin. I have been told that people who drive slow/old man do get some build up. Every now and then giving it some gas is good for the engine. Try driving snowmobiles once.. Putz around pulling some kids on a sled for awhile. Then take it out by yourself and let loose. You can feel the difference just because it was babied the whole time.

i may be plasti-dipping my wheels this weekend. some of you know i have some nice 17's from a 06 300. Any other prep work need to be done other that a good scrub cleaning? ive heard use simple green or rubbing alcohol to make it adhere better. thanks everyone!

I believe just a good cleaning is all that it needs. I haven't done it but have thought about it. Never read anything else needs to happen.

I have a question now :P
I have heard that there is a chip or something in exotic cars like Ferrari and Lamborghini that determines how hard the driver is on the car. Is that true or not?

No matter what you use to clean it, might want to use some wax and tar remover afterwards right before dipping em.

Question too:
Where is the ac drain tube located??

ive hear of these before and seen them in a EVO X. idk about exotics but they are out there

Can you elaborate more on what you mean by the wax/tar remover? And if i had a newer imp i could help with the drain but i cant sorry!
