LZ4 crankshaft position sensor

The crankshaft position sensor for the 3.5 liter motor (LZ4) in the 2008 Impala is on the backside (firewall side) of the motor, just above the oil pan. I've changed one of these on the similar 3.4L motor, and it's tricky to get at, but do-able.

I've attached a couple pics from the factory service manual.

If your socket set is all the same brand, you might be a city slicker.

I spent some time doing it, and that is what I figured out worked for me. This is doing it in the driveway though, not on a lift.
