Ls4 Loses acceleration

I can start it up drive for a couple miles then it loses acceleration slowly until it quits moving and engine will still rev. If I shut it off and let it cool down it will do the same thing drive fine for a couple miles. It shifts fine until the problem occurs it has trans fluid. I get a p0004 code but that's it. And I get some engine noise almost like my lifters are working with no oil no noise when at idle only when I give it gas. Any ideas
