Adding rear deck speakers

I just bought a 2018 Impala LT with LT1 Trim comes with 8 inch screen. It does not come with the Bose system. I need some help/answers. I want to add speakers to the rear deck and I don't need top notch speakers. I've searched online but have not found my answer. Also do I need an amplifier?

Thanks in advance.

Adding an amp will be needed

Youll also need to find a signal source for the amp. Ideally ur rear speaker wires in ur doors

Also will need to run power wire to battery

Find a ground point for the amp

And install a remote turn on wire.

Run wires to speaker locations from amp

As u can see its pretty involved to dive into this idea

This will cost u about $250 on the cheap side but wont sound great.

Honestly ur smartest bet is to throw in a small subwoofer to add flare to ur system

Thanks tjhenry77 for the replies.

Is adding a subwoofer less complicated?

For complexity I would say about the same. But youre going to notice much more of a better improvement on your stereo with their versus adding 6 x 9s

If you have never done anything like this before I would highly recommend going to a car stereo shop and have them put it in for you it may cost considerably more for the labor but its going to be worth every penny then you know you For sure its done correctly
