Aftermarket tails should be a fairly safe bet, and I believe there are several decent kits available.
I have considered projector replacements for the front end of the car. But after reading about all of the problems others have had with aftermarket projector lights (fogging issues, inability to aim properly, and poor light throw overall), I've put that notion aside for now.
If and when I get around to replacing the Impala's OEM headlights, I'll likely take the same approach I did with my weekend car - buy OEM-quality projectors and ballasts and retrofit them into a new pair of OEM housings. For that one, I installed HELLA bi-xenon projectors and ballasts. The project was a lot of work, but their lighting performance has been outstanding. See PDF HERE.
@Konpachi - just to clarify - are you taking abut the new style Impala (9th gen) or the old style (8th gen)? I assumed new-style (since you didn't mention "Limited"), but just wanted to make sure...

I was indeed referring to the Gen9 LTZ. After further research it would as though there were not any after-market head or tails lights created for that model (especially now that GM has decided to discontinue the Impala line).
So sad that SUV's and crossovers have pushed full-sized 3-box sedans to the point of oblivion. I vastly prefer driving a sedan, but it appears they are going the way of the dodo.
