2014 Impala 2lt transmission fluid and filter change

So my impala is ready for an early fluid and filter change. I saw somewhere that the filter is internal on these and not accessible? Also, flushes are bad correct? Any good instructions on changing the fluid?

The 6 speed coupled to the 3.6 is a simple drain and change. Drain plug can be accessed from the driver side without even putting the car on ramps. Would suggest trying to catch the old fluid and measure how much you drained, then put back in as much as drained out.

There is no accessible trans filter.

Scroll to post 13 in the link https://www.impalaforums.com/chevy-i...rain-plug.html. If you go in from drivers side in front of the front tire it is pretty easy to reach.

This applies to the 2014+(new body style) too?

If it has the 3.6 and 6 speed, my understanding is that it should be the same. I however have not looked first hand under the newer body style.

It worked. The tiny bolt pictured ended up being the drain plug, which is weird. I saw another bolt on the transmission that looked like it should have been the drain plug. I wonder if it would also work...? Thank you!

Only one drain plug on the trans. Not sure what other bolt your are referring to - would be curious to see a picture if you manage to get one....
