does a 92 chevy caprice stationwagon have a self leveler?
when i shut the car off and after a few moments it makes a noise like one, but not sure the noise is coming from a black box under the car towards the rear of the car

My 91 did but I think it was an option. looked out 1 day and the car was jacked up in the back as high as it would go. I took it to a mechanic and he removed it and installed heavier springs. I still think it was a defective or even broken rod that adjusted the load and there was nothing wrong with the unit. I have a funny feeling he just wanted it. Lorne

look under the car if there is a black box in front of the rear axle then you have it. My 94 makes a noise too, but no load leveler. Turns out it's the power antenna motor (antenna stuck in up position though) |
